WELCOME TO BRITTON’S TROUT LAKE RESORT

If you are looking for a quiet place with scenery and history, to get away and really “unplug”, Trout Lake is the place for you! Stay in a simple, convenient and comfortable native log cabin situated on well-kept grounds in a clearing in the woods on the sandy shores of a crystal-clear lake. Cabins are available with two to four bedrooms. All cabins are modern housekeeping units with fully stocked kitchens, hot and cold water, half baths and showers. For your added comfort, most of the cabins have a 200-square foot screened-in porch, and each cabin has a personal charcoal grill for your convenience. Our roomy, clean cabins all have a beautiful view of the lake and are well spaced for your privacy. We are owner operated, so you can contact us every day. This pristine lake has very little development, and clear waters shine a beautiful sky-tinted blue. Britton’s is a family resort, known for our beautiful natural sugar sand beach and swimming area.

Relax and enjoy the sun and the clean sandy beach, go for a swim, or read a good book! The Chippewa National Forest provides old roads and trails for hunting, hiking or biking. On the lake or the trails, you can observe loons, eagles, deer, beavers and other wildlife on occasion. At dusk you can listen to the loons singing the sun to sleep. Hike or boat back 100 years in time when you visit the historic, Joyce Estate. Britton’s Resort is open in the fall for people to enjoy the beautiful colors of the forest, or the great fishing and hunting. Britton’s Resort is in the midst of the Chippewa National Forest. Trout Lake has boat access to Little Trout, Wabana and Bluewater Lakes. Trout Lake is popular for fishing lake trout, walleye, northern pike, smallmouth and largemouth bass, sunfish, crappie and perch. No matter where you go on Big Trout Lake, you will find a fish dinner just waiting to be caught. For the fisherman, chances of catching the “big one” are GOOD!
